Trey Apffel

Mr. Apffel is the founder of Apffel Law Firm. He is board certified in civil trial law and personal injury trial law and specializes in personal injury, insurance claims, family law, and commercial litigation.

Bryan Blevins

Mr. Blevins practices at Provost Umphrey Law Firm, LLP. Bryan has prepared, tried and appealed numerous personal injury and civil litigation matters, including toxic tort, defective products, industrial negligence and contract actions and is board certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.

Courtney Boes

Ms. Boes practices at Beard, Kultgen, Brophy, Bostwick & Dickson LLP. She represents clients in cases involving health care liability claims, contractual disputes, trade secrets, business torts, fiduciary duty, personal injury, and professional liability matters.

Mike Bourland

Mr. Bourland is the founding shareholder of Bourland, Wall & Wenzel, PC. He represents individuals, closely held and family businesses, professional practices and nonprofit entities (including charitable organizations).

Karen Burgess

Ms. Burgess is a founder of Richardson & Burgess LLP. She handles complex business cases, including trade secret, securities, fiduciary, contract, partnership, insurance, employment, construction, real estate and oil and gas litigation.

Rodney Chamness

Mr. Chamness practices at Pakis, Giotes, Page, & Burleson, PC. He focuses on assisting entrepreneurs and business owners. He helps entrepreneurs establish business structures and provides them with necessary legal advice to avoid common problems new business owners experience.

Matt Cordon

Matt Cordon serves as the director of legal research, associate director of the law library, and professor of law at Baylor Law School. Recently, Matt has developed Baylor Law School's new Writing Center program.

Liz Fraley

Elizabeth M. Fraley joined the faculty of the Baylor Law School as a full-time professor in Fall 2015. Professor Fraley, a prominent Dallas trial lawyer, teaches in Baylor’s renowned Practice Court Program.

Jane Fritz

Jane is the founder of Jane Fritz Consulting. She has over 20 years experience from working in law firms as a legal administrator and legal marketer.

Judge Royal Furgeson

Judge Royal Furgeson is the former Senior U.S. District Judge in the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division. Prior to taking Senior Status, he served in the El Paso, Midland, and San Antonio Divisions of the Western District of Texas. Judge Furgeson now serves as the Founding Dean of the UNT Dallas College of Law.

Stephanie Gaston

Ms. Gaston practices at Strasburger & Price LLP. She is a member of Strasburger’s specialty litigation group. Stephanie focuses on the representation of clients in employment matters. Her practice includes the resolution of employment disputes via litigation and settlement negotiation.

Steve Harrison

Mr. Harrison is a founding partner of Harrison, Davis, Steakley, Morrison PC. He Steve Harrison has been a trial lawyer for 40 years. He has successfully represented both individuals and businesses in a variety of sophisticated catastrophic injury, product liability, mass tort, and business litigation matters.

Monte James

Mr. James is a partner at Jackson Walker, LLP. He represents several Fortune 500 companies in litigation matters throughout Texas and other states. Litigation for these entities includes commercial litigation, health care litigation, negligence actions, bad faith claims, antitrust claims, False Claims Act or qui tam actions, reimbursement matters, trademark infringement litigation, and state and federal civil monetary penalty actions.

Heather Kanny

Ms. Kanny is a partner at Beard, Kultgen, Brophy, Bostwick, & Dickson, LLP. She defends physicians, hospitals, nurses, and other health care providers in business and professional disputes in the areas of medical malpractice and health care law.

Allison Marble

Allison manages all marketing and public relations efforts for Provost Umphrey Law Firm including: managing the marketing budget, creating strategic campaigns for specific areas of litigation, content creation for print and online outlets, writing and distributing press releases, firm reputation management and overseeing online marketing.

Dr. Meg Patterson

As the Director of Wellness, Dr. Meg Patterson oversees Baylor’s Wellness Department, which aims to provide the Baylor community with programs, services, and resources for healthy lifestyles.

Stephen Rispoli

Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Pro Bono Programs, Stephen Rispoli earned his political science degree from Baylor University in 2009 and his J.D. from Baylor Law School in 2012.

Michele Smith

Ms. Smith practices for Mehaffy Weber, PC. She represents clients in general civil litigation, with a concentration in complex litigation and products liability. She has also coordinated state-wide litigation for several national clients.

Ryan Squires

Mr. Squires Practices at Scott, Douglass, & McConnico, LLP. He works on both sides of the docket. He defends and prosecutes complex commercial cases. He defends lawyers all over the state in legal-malpractice and related claims.

Joel Steed

Mr. Steed is a partner at Steed, Dunnill, Reynolds, Bailey, Stephenson, LLP. He focuses his practice on Health Care Liability Defense, representing doctors, hospitals, nurses and other health care providers across the State of Texas.

Brad Toben

One of the nation's longest tenured deans, Brad Toben joined the Baylor faculty in 1983 and was named dean of the Law School in 1991.

Michelle Tuegel

Michelle is a founding partner of Hunt & Tuegel, PLLC. She specializes in criminal law and has tried high profile capital murder cases, aggravated sexual assault cases, kidnapping, and federal felony drug cases.

Joshua Weaver

Joshua is the Founder of Weaver Innovations, LLC, a technical, marketing, and administration consulting service. He is also a Legal Mapmaker ™ advisor and a Marketing and PR specialist at Baylor Law School.

Dale Williams

Dale Williams is a founding partner at Williams & Brown, LLP. The primary focus of Dale’s practice is helping families who have suffered the life-altering effects of a serious injury or tragic death caused by trucking or auto accidents, defective products, or medical negligence.

Jim Wren

Professor Wren was recruited to the faculty of Baylor Law School in 2006 to teach Practice Court. He comes from a specialization in business litigation, including business fraud, professional liability and fiduciary litigation.
